Responsibilities Greet guests warmly as they arrive and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and comfort. Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries while practicing excellent phone etiquette. Maintain an organized waiting list and communicate wait times clearly to guests. Support guest services by addressing special requests or concerns promptly and courteously. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand area in accordance with food safety standards. Collaborate with the restaurant team to ensure smooth seating transitions and excellent guest relations. Requirements Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant setting is preferred. Strong communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and effective phone communication. Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and seating capacity calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations is beneficial. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests simultaneously.
