HOST / GUEST EXPERIENCE AMBASSADOR - NOIR & LA VIE

Rochester, NY | Part-Time / Full-Time Opportunities | Upscale Dining, Luxury Hospitality, Nightlife, Events At NOIR Bar & Restaurant and La Vie Nightclub & Rooftop, the guest experience begins before anyone orders a drink or sees a menu. It begins at the door. We are looking for outgoing, polished, organized, and genuinely welcoming people to join our team as Hosts / Guest Experience Ambassadors. This is not a position where we want someone simply standing behind a host stand checking names off a list. You are the first impression of NOIR and La Vie. What We're Looking For

• Confident speaking with guests and setting the tone from the first interaction

• Extremely organized and attentive to details
• Comfortable communicating with management, servers, bartenders, and guests
• Able to stay composed during busy or high-pressure periods
• Capable of handling reservations, wait times, seating priorities, and special requests
• Observant and able to anticipate guest needs
• Team-oriented and willing to help throughout the restaurant
• Comfortable in an upscale dining and nightlife environment What the Role Looks Like
• Greet every guest warmly and professionally
• Manage reservations and walk-in guests
• Organize seating rotation and communicate with servers
• Monitor table availability and restaurant flow
• Provide accurate wait-time expectations
• Answer guest questions about the restaurant, menu, events, and nightlife experience
• Recognize VIPs, celebrations, special occasions, and returning guests
• Communicate special requests to servers and management
• Answer phones professionally
• Keep the entrance and host area clean and presentation-ready
• Assist with menus, resets, guest direction, and service support when needed
• Help create a seamless transition between dining, cocktails, entertainment, and nightlife The Culture We're Building NOIR and La Vie operate as one team.

Candidates may be placed primarily with NOIR, La Vie, or trained across both concepts based on personality, experience, strengths, and availability. Ideal Candidates Experience in restaurants, hotels, lounges, nightclubs, event venues, concierge services, customer service, or luxury hospitality is a plus. Previous host experience is helpful, but personality, professionalism, communication skills, and attitude matter just as much.
