Job Description
Emish Restaurant is a Ukrainian and European restaurant located in Federal Way, WA. We are looking for a friendly, welcoming, and reliable Host to be the first point of contact for our guests and help create a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, attentive, and able to communicate professionally with guests and restaurant staff in a busy environment. What You'll Do Welcome and greet guests warmly upon arrival Create a friendly and professional first impression Manage the restaurant entrance and waiting area Manage the seating of guests and maintain an organized table rotation Escort guests to their tables and provide menus Communicate wait times accurately to guests Maintain the waitlist and guest seating information Answer phone calls and respond to basic guest questions Take and manage reservations when applicable Communicate guest requests and special occasions to servers and management Monitor table availability and coordinate seating with servers Communicate with servers, bussers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to support smooth service Assist with takeout orders and guest inquiries when needed Keep the host stand, entrance, and waiting area clean and organized Help maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the restaurant Assist with clearing and resetting tables when needed Assist other restaurant team members during busy periods Handle customer concerns professionally and involve management when necessary Follow restaurant policies and procedures Complete opening and closing duties as assigned Maintain a professional, positive, and welcoming attitude throughout the shift
Work Schedule:
Full-time or part-time; schedule will be discussed during the interview. Weekend and holiday availability is required.PayCompensation:
$18-20/h + tip.Benefits:
Full-time employees are eligible for competitive employee benefits including paid sick leave (1 hour per 40 hours worked), partial employer-covered medical insurance (75% for full-time employees), and paid vacation: 1 week after 1 year of employment and 2 weeks after 2 years.
