Job Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Front Desk Clerk, where your energetic and welcoming attitude will set the tone for an exceptional guest experience. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing outstanding customer service, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a memorable stay for every guest while supporting the overall operations of our hotel. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality management skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Duties Greet guests warmly with friendly phone etiquette and ensure a positive first impression. Manage guest reservations using property management systems Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, including handling billing and payment processing accurately. Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest satisfaction. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly with effective customer service problem-solving skills. Maintain accurate records of guest stays, room assignments, and special requests through property management systems. Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security teams to ensure guest needs are met efficiently. Follow hotel emergency procedures to ensure safety and security for all guests and staff. Use multi-line phone systems to manage incoming calls professionally, directing inquiries appropriately. Foster positive guest relations by anticipating needs and delivering personalized service in a multilingual or bilingual capacity if applicable. Experience Previous experience front desk operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with hospitality reservation systems such as OPERA or similar property management systems (PMS). Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and guest relations best practices.. Demonstrated problem-solving skills in customer service scenarios within a hospitality setting.
