We're a bowling alley, bar, and restaurant with a strong sense of community and a staff that plays a big part in making the place what it is. As a Guest Services & Front Desk Attendant, you'll be one of the first people guests interact with. You'll help people get settled, manage lanes and waitlists, help with shoes and equipment, answer questions, take food and drink orders, and jump in when something needs attention. You don't need to know everything about bowling. We can teach you that. We're looking for someone who likes people, pays attention, communicates well, and takes pride in giving guests a good experience. What You'll Do Guest Experience Welcome guests, get them oriented, and explain bowling procedures, pricing, wait times, and activities Answer questions, handle guest concerns, and provide information about bowling, leagues, events, and the facility Answer the phone and help create a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere throughout the shift Bowling & Front Desk Manage the waitlist, track lane availability, assign lanes, and check guests in with shoes and equipment Prepare for and assist with league bowling and help guests with basic bowling and scoring questions Monitor lane activity and communicate scoring, pin, or equipment issues to the appropriate staff Keep the desk, concourse, shoes, and equipment clean, organized, and ready for guests Food & Beverage Take food and drink orders, assist guests, and keep tables and service areas clean and ready Coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and team to keep service moving POS & Daily Operations Operate POS/computer/PA systems and accurately process payments Track equipment and supplies Communicate guest needs, lane issues, and other concerns to the team What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Actually enjoys interacting with people and is friendly, approachable, and comfortable with all kinds of guests Is reliable, punctual, and communicates well with guests and coworkers Can stay organized and attentive when there are a lot of things happening at once Notices when something needs to be cleaned, restocked, fixed, or addressed Can learn and confidently use computer and POS systems Is willing to jump in where needed and takes pride in creating a good guest experience Hospitality or restaurant experience is preferred, but it isn't everything. If you're personable, dependable, willing to learn, and good with people, we can teach you the bowling side of the job. Experience That's a Plus Any of the following is a bonus: Bartending Restaurant or kitchen experience Bowling or entertainment experience Front desk or guest services Cash handling or POS experience Supervisory or leadership experience Why Wheat Ridge Lanes? Wheat Ridge Lanes is different from a typical chain or corporate entertainment venue. We're locally owned, we've got a lot of history, and we've kept the old-school character that makes the place what it is. You'll work with a small team, get to know the business, and have a chance to actually make a difference in how the place runs and how people experience it. And there's a lot more going on than just bowling. We have leagues, parties, live music, a full bar and kitchen, and games like shuffleboard, cornhole, ping pong, darts, and putt-putt. No two shifts are exactly the same. Hours & Pay Starting pay: $18/hour Typically 3-4 8-hour shifts per week Days, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required Opportunities for additional responsibility and advancement for employees who want to grow with the business
