Job Description
The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in providing exceptional customer service. This position involves welcoming guests, handling reservations, managing check-ins and check-outs, answering questions, assisting with breakfast service or light housekeeping as needed, and supporting smooth daily operations of the inn. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist guests in a warm, professional, and courteous manner. Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently. Manage reservations via our online booking system and phone requests. Respond promptly to guest inquiries, concerns, or special requests. Process payments accurately and confidentially maintain records of transactions. Provide local recommendations and information about the property and the surrounding area to customize guest experience. Coordinate closely with housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are ready for arrivals. Help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the front desk, lobby, and common areas. Handle light administrative duties such as filing, restocking brochures, or monitoring supplies. Follow all safety, health, and privacy policies. Qualifications Prior experience in hospitality, customer service, or front desk operations preferred (but not required). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable using computers, email, and booking or PMS systems (training provided). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Friendly, patient, and able to multitask effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Schedule & Compensation Typical available shifts include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays. Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
