Main Street, Lexington, VA (In Person) The Gin Hotel is hiring immediately for a dependable, friendly, and self-motivated Night Auditor / Front Desk Agent to join our team at our beautifully restored boutique hotel in the heart of historic downtown Lexington. This position is primarily for two consecutive overnight shifts per week, from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, for a minimum of 16 hours per week. The specific nights are flexible and can be discussed based on availability, but the two regularly scheduled overnight shifts must be on consecutive nights. Additional Afternoon/Evening Front Desk shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM may occasionally be available depending on scheduling needs. Additional hours are not guaranteed and should not be considered part of the regular schedule for this position. We are looking for someone who is reliable, comfortable working independently, takes pride in staying organized, and genuinely enjoys providing excellent customer service. Because the Night Auditor works independently for much of the overnight shift, dependability, good judgment, and the ability to handle guest needs professionally are especially important. During the overnight shift, you will assist late-arriving guests, respond to guest needs, prepare the hotel for the next business day, complete the nightly audit process, help maintain a safe and welcoming environment, and ensure everything is ready for the morning team. As a member of our Front Desk team, you will be one of the primary points of contact for our guests and play an important role in creating a positive and memorable stay. Responsibilities Check guests in and out Answer phones and assist with reservations Respond to guest requests and resolve concerns professionally Process guest payments and balance cash transactions Provide information about the hotel and local area Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby Perform light cleaning and organization of public areas during the overnight shift Monitor the property throughout the night to help maintain a safe and secure environment Set up the hotel's Grab-and-Go breakfast each morning Complete the Night Audit process and other overnight responsibilities Communicate important information to the morning Front Desk team No previous Night Audit experience? No problem. We provide paid training for all aspects of the position. Schedule Regular Schedule Two consecutive overnight shifts per week 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM Minimum of 16 hours per week The specific nights are flexible and can be discussed based on availability The two overnight shifts must be scheduled on consecutive nights each week Reliable, consistent availability for both assigned overnight shifts is required Additional Hours Afternoon/Evening Front Desk shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM may occasionally be available based on hotel scheduling needs. These shifts are optional and are not guaranteed as part of this position.
