In this role, you'll lead by example, inspire your team, and ensure the front desk operates with efficiency, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. Here's what you'll do during a typical day: Manage daily front office operations: Oversee Front Office activities including guest service, registration, room assignments, reservations, guest requests, and adherence to hotel policies and service standards.
Monitor and elevate service:
Track guest satisfaction, respond to service concerns, and guide the team in identifying opportunities to improve the overall guest experience.
Drive hotel revenue:
Promote hotel amenities, services, upgrades, and other opportunities while utilizing effective upselling techniques to support occupancy and revenue goals.
Facilitate team knowledge:
Provide regular communication, coaching, and training to ensure Front Desk team members are knowledgeable about hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and current hotel operations.
Delight our guests:
Welcome guests with a warm and professional attitude, respond to questions and requests, and resolve concerns promptly while maintaining a high level of service.
Inspire and develop the team:
Supervise, support, and coach Front Desk team members, monitor performance, provide feedback, and foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment. Support front office systems and processes: Accurately utilize the hotel's property management and reservation systems to manage guest information, reservations, room inventory, billing, and daily front desk operations.
Coordinate across departments:
Work closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, Sales, and other hotel departments to ensure guest needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Support financial and operational accuracy:
Assist with cash handling, guest accounts, billing, end-of-day procedures, and other front office processes while maintaining accuracy and accountability. Maintain a safe and welcoming environment: Follow and reinforce hotel safety, security, emergency, privacy, and operational procedures to protect our guests and Team Members. What We're Looking For Previous hotel front desk, guest services, or hospitality experience. Previous supervisory or management experience in a hotel environment preferred. Strong customer service and guest relations skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. The ability to coach, motivate, and develop Front Desk team members. Experience with hotel property management and reservation systems. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on hotel business needs. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
