Job Description
Who We Are The Hyatt Regency Schaumburg is an upscale, full-service hotel conveniently located across from Woodfield Mall and just 15 minutes from O'Hare International Airport. The hotel offers an elevated guest experience designed to meet the needs of discerning travelers who value quality, service, and comfort without compromise. A key part of the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg's continued success will be the leadership of a hands-on Director of Front Office who is passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences, developing a high-performing team, and ensuring every interaction leaves a positive and lasting impression. We are currently seeking a dynamic Director of Front Office to lead our front office operations and help drive service excellence across the hotel. What You'll Do Oversee all Front Office operations to ensure seamless, efficient, and exceptional guest service. Develop and implement department strategies that improve financial performance, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction. Lead, coach, and mentor the Front Office team, including performance management, evaluations, training, and associate development. Ensure consistent adherence to hotel policies and procedures, guest service standards, and brand requirements. Collaborate with other hotel departments to promote strong communication, operational alignment, and an exceptional overall guest experience. Monitor and analyze guest satisfaction scores and other performance metrics, identifying opportunities and implementing action plans to continuously improve results. Foster a positive, service-focused team culture that encourages accountability, engagement, and professional growth. What You'll Bring Previous Front Office leadership experience, preferably in a full-service hotel environment. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a focus on both guest and associate satisfaction. Demonstrated ability to develop, motivate, and lead teams while managing multiple operational priorities. Experience with hotel systems, including PMS and POS platforms, and a strong understanding of Front Office operations and procedures. Proven ability to drive performance results while maintaining high hospitality and service standards. A hands-on leadership style with a genuine commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
