This pivotal role combines operational management, team leadership, and customer engagement to create a welcoming, efficient, and memorable environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, strong managerial skills, and a strategic mindset to oversee daily operations while fostering a positive team atmosphere. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to influence guest satisfaction and drive business success through exceptional service delivery. Duties Lead and supervise front-of-house staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure high standards of guest service. Manage daily operations of the venue, including shift management, guest flow, and operational workflows to maximize efficiency. Oversee guest services from arrival to departure, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and prompt resolution of any issues or concerns. Coordinate event management activities, including setup, execution, and post-event evaluations to ensure seamless experiences for all attendees. Develop and implement strategies for improving guest satisfaction scores and operational processes using data analysis and report writing. Handle budgeting responsibilities related to staffing, supplies, and event logistics to maintain financial health of the venue. Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations by maintaining first aid readiness (including CPR certification) and implementing safety protocols. Utilize Microsoft Office tools for report writing, scheduling, inventory tracking, and communication with team members and stakeholders. Foster a team-oriented environment through effective managerial communication and staff supervision. Support management in supervising cash handling procedures, operational audits, and maintaining high standards of hospitality. Qualifications Proven experience in customer service roles within hospitality or event venues; assistant manager or supervisory experience preferred. Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in fast-paced environments. Extensive experience in events management and operations coordination. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for report writing and data analysis. Excellent managerial decision-making skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Background in restaurant or resort environments highly desirable; experience with shift management is essential. Knowledge of operational management practices including budgeting, cash handling, and resource allocation. Exceptional communication skills for supervising staff and engaging with guests professionally. Technical proficiency related to venue operations; familiarity with event venue technology systems is a plus. Valid first aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
