Security & Guest Relations Officer Lake George Waterfront Cruises & Hospitality Position Summary Lake George Waterfront Cruises & Hospitality is seeking a calm, professional, and service-oriented Security & Guest Relations Officer to help ensure a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment across our multi-outlet hospitality and entertainment venues. This role is responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, supporting guests and team members, and serving as an important liaison between guests, management, and leadership. The ideal candidate is respectful, approachable, and highly skilled at de-escalating challenging situations. They are able to remain composed under pressure, make thoughtful decisions in high-stress environments, and contribute to a positive guest experience while protecting the interests of the organization. Key Responsibilities Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout all company properties, venues, docks, vessels, restaurants, bars, and event spaces. Promote a safe, secure, and welcoming atmosphere for guests, employees, and vendors. Respond to guest concerns, complaints, and disruptive situations with professionalism and tact. Serve as a liaison between guests and managers, directors, and operational leadership to ensure issues are resolved appropriately and efficiently. Prioritize conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques before situations become disruptive. Monitor facilities and guest areas for safety concerns, policy violations, or potential security risks. Assist management during special events, peak operating periods, and high-traffic guest experiences. Document incidents, concerns, and security-related activity accurately and professionally. Coordinate with local emergency services and law enforcement when necessary. Support emergency response procedures and assist during medical, safety, or weather-related incidents. Work collaboratively with all departments to enhance guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Qualifications Required Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in stressful or emotionally charged situations. Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated ability to de-escalate conflicts and manage difficult interactions. Ability to work independently while maintaining close communication with management. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods. Preferred Previous security experience in hospitality, entertainment, nightlife, event, tourism, or multi-outlet venues. Background in customer service, guest relations, hospitality management, or conflict resolution. Prior experience working in environments with large guest volumes. Law enforcement, military, or first responder experience is a plus, but not required. CPR, First Aid, or emergency response certifications are a plus.
