We're looking for a dedicated and energetic Boarding Manager to support our Center Managers and help lead our team in creating a safe, fun, and thriving environment for furry friends and their owners. As Boarding Manager, you'll work hand-in-paw with the Center Managers to keep the facility running seamlessly, ensuring happy pets, delighted clients, and a motivated team. Here's how you'll contribute:
Collaborative Leadership:
Partner with the Center Managers to oversee daily operations and maintain Paws Pet Resort's standards of pet care within our boarding department. Step up as a confident leader ensuring smooth operations. Training new hires and developing others into leaders Help hold others accountable Encourage team members to develop themselves personally and professionally
Operational Excellence:
Ensure the facility meets and exceeds cleanliness, safety, and compliance standards. Assist with inventory management, ensuring supplies are well-stocked and expenses are managed. Support scheduling and day-to-day administrative tasks.
Team Support:
Assist with recruiting, training, mentoring and shadowing team members to ensure top-notch care and service. Help create work schedules that balance business needs with team well-being. Promote ongoing professional development and positive morale among staff.
Client and Community Engagement:
Build trust and strong relationships with pet parents, ensuring they feel confident placing their pet in our care. Handle client inquiries, feedback, and requests with professionalism and enthusiasm. Collaborate on community outreach, promotions, and marketing efforts to grow our presence.
Pet Care Supervision:
Oversee pet boarding services to ensure pets are happy, healthy, and safe. Monitor pet behavior and address any concerns promptly and compassionately. Keep detailed records of pet care, incidents, and daily routines.

Responsibilities:
Cleaning and maintenance of pet suites, condos, general boarding areas, and kitchen Feeding and watering pet guests Administering medications Monitoring and charting every pet guest Monitoring pet belongings Laundering duties Assisting other associates and performing other duties as needed Shifts would include an even mix of opening (6:30am-3pm) and closing (1:30pm-10pm) with a 30 minute unpaid break. Essential Job Functions Must be RELIABLE- we are working with living animals who rely on us, frequent call-outs will not be tolerated Welcomes both human and pet guests Can correctly identify animal body language/behavior Follows safe handling procedures Checking in and out of pet guests while providing excellent customer service Escorts pets to and from their rooms Can work both individually and as a team player while performing duties Contributes in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility Communication with management and other team members Professionally communicate with pet parents Sanitizes/disinfects pet suites, condos & general boarding areas Can correctly identify animal body language/behavior Monitors and accurately charts consumption and elimination of every pet and reports any concerns to management Provides individual care of all boarding guests Feed and medicate according to instructions Performs activities as scheduled Skills Required Possess a love of animals Displays a professional manner at all times Ability to work evenings, weekends & holidays (every other weekend and ~2 holiday shifts per year) Lift/carry 40 pounds or more Able to stand/walk for eight hours a day Able to work in a fast-paced environment Able to work on a computer system Able to handle dogs on leashes and work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions. The dogs we care for and the people we work with rely on each other- showing up to your shifts on time is essential. Required Education High School Graduate or Equivalent At least 1 year of professional animal experience The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00-$27.00.
