Front Desk Supervisor 3200 Russell LLC Sioux Falls, SD Job Details Full-time From $21 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Word processing Shift management High school diploma or GED Conflict management Organizational skills Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a full-time Front Desk Supervisor to lead front desk and guest-service operations during assigned shifts. This hands-on supervisory role supports daily hotel operations, assists and coaches front desk employees, resolves escalated guest concerns, verifies cash-handling and operational procedures, and serves as Manager on Duty when designated. The Front Desk Supervisor performs all core front desk responsibilities, including reservations, check-ins, departures, payment processing, key control, guest communication, room coordination, and guest service recovery. This position also helps coordinate housekeeping, breakfast, laundry, maintenance, public-area readiness, safety checks, incident response, and shift documentation. The ideal candidate has hotel front desk or customer-service experience, previous lead or supervisory experience, strong communication skills, sound judgment, basic cash-handling ability, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight coverage. Key Responsibilities Lead front desk and guest-service activity during assigned shifts Train, coach, and support front desk team members Handle guest concerns and service recovery professionally Perform reservations, check-ins, departures, room moves, payments, and PMS updates Coordinate room status with housekeeping and maintenance Monitor cash-handling, safe-drop, key-control, and documentation procedures Support breakfast, laundry, public-area, and property-readiness standards Respond to safety, security, guest, and operational issues Communicate shift updates and unresolved matters to management Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred At least one year of hotel front desk, lodging, or customer-service experience preferred Previous lead, trainer, shift-supervisor, or supervisory experience preferred Ability to use hotel systems, email, Word, Excel, key systems, and ID-scanning equipment Strong communication, conflict-resolution, organization, and decision-making skills Availability for a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays
