Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief or Supervisor of Hotel Maintenance to lead our facilities maintenance team with energy and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee the upkeep, repair, and safety of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within the hotel. Your leadership will ensure that our property operates smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage complex maintenance projects while fostering a proactive safety culture that enhances guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the facilities maintenance team, managing daily operations to ensure timely repairs and preventative maintenance across all hotel systems. Develop and implement maintenance repair procedures. Oversee the management of mechanical systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing. Conduct engineering troubleshooting using schematics, electrical testing tools like voltmeters and ohmmeters, and mechanical diagnostics to resolve issues efficiently. Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or renovations by coordinating resources, timelines, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to OSHA safety regulations and hotel policies to maintain a safe environment for staff and guests alike. Skills Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance with strong team leadership capabilities. Extensive mechanical knowledge including HVAC system, electrical systems troubleshooting, plumbing system maintenance, and industrial maintenance practices. Proficiency in using schematics, engineering troubleshooting tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment. Skilled in project management with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards to promote a safe working environment.. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills in English; ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
