Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, organized, and compassionate Kennel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our boarding and daycare facility. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent customer service skills, and is passionate about providing exceptional care for animals. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day kennel operations, supervising staff, ensuring the health and safety of all pets, maintaining facility standards, and creating a positive experience for both clients and their pets. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the boarding and daycare facility. Supervise, train, and support kennel and front desk staff. Create and manage employee schedules. Manage reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and client communication. Monitor the health, behavior, and well-being of boarding and daycare dogs. Ensure medications and feeding instructions are administered accurately. Maintain accurate client records, vaccination records, medication logs, and incident reports. Ensure the facility remains clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation standards. Maintain compliance with all applicable state regulations and company policies. Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve issues as they arise. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees. Coordinate daily playgroups and kennel assignments. Monitor inventory and communicate facility maintenance needs. Respond appropriately during emergencies involving pets or staff. Qualifications Previous experience working in a kennel, boarding, daycare, veterinary, or animal care facility preferred. Previous leadership or management experience preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure. Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout a 10-hour shift. Reliable, dependable, and detail-oriented. Experience administering medications is a plus. Schedule Full-time Weekend and holiday availability required 10-hour shifts Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with animals, leads by example, communicates well with both clients and staff, and takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for every pet in our care.
