Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
- Train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective housekeeping services
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering as needed
- Inspect rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to standards
- Address customer complaints or concerns regarding housekeeping services
- Collaborate with maintenance team to address any repairs or maintenance issues
- Maintain records and documentation related to housekeeping activities
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of custodial and commercial cleaning practices
- Experience in supervising a team of housekeeping staff
- Familiarity with hotel or hospitality industry standards for cleanliness and guest satisfaction
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of laundering procedures for linens and other textiles
