Hours:
8 working hours per day with a one-hour unpaid lunch; breaks may be spread throughout the day as needed.

Position Overview A private couple in the West Village is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper to oversee the care, organization, and museum-quality cleaning of their private townhome. This is a hands-on leadership position working alongside a Full-Time Housekeeper and Weekend Housekeeper to ensure the residence is consistently maintained to exceptional standards. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in high-end private residences and understands the proper care of fine furnishings, artwork, delicate surfaces, and luxury finishes. This person should be highly organized, detail-oriented, discreet, and comfortable taking ownership of the home's overall housekeeping standards. Key Responsibilities Oversee and participate in the museum-quality cleaning and daily presentation of the residence Establish and maintain consistent housekeeping standards throughout the townhome Work hands-on alongside the Full-Time and Weekend Housekeepers Coordinate housekeeping schedules, priorities, deep-cleaning projects, and daily responsibilities Properly care for fine furnishings, artwork, antiques, delicate surfaces, and specialty finishes Manage detailed cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, entertaining spaces, and common areas Oversee laundry, linens, ironing, steaming, and proper garment care as needed Maintain closets, storage areas, household supplies, and cleaning inventories Ensure the residence is polished, organized, and guest-ready at all times Assist with preparation and service surrounding entertaining and household events Communicate household maintenance or repair needs and coordinate with appropriate staff or vendors Provide occasional care for the family's small dog, including feeding, walks, and general assistance as needed Maintain complete confidentiality and discretion regarding the family and residence Requirements Minimum 5+ years of experience in high-end private residences, ideally within formal households Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper, Head Housekeeper, or senior-level Housekeeper strongly preferred Extensive knowledge of museum-quality cleaning and care of fine surfaces and materials Strong laundry, ironing, steaming, and garment-care skills Experience coordinating and working collaboratively with other household staff Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Hands-on, proactive, and willing to assist with all aspects of housekeeping Comfortable caring for a small dog as needed Professional, discreet, punctual, and highly reliable Flexible to work Thanksgiving and occasional additional holidays when communicated in advance Excellent professional references Valid U.S. work authorization SSIN000
