This position also assists Room Attendants with daily operations, provides training and guidance to team members, and helps ensure the housekeeping department operates efficiently. Essential Responsibilities Inspect guestrooms using established checklists and ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met. Provide guidance and direction to Room Attendants and address any areas that do not meet quality standards. Assist with training new Room Attendants using procedures and standards established by the Executive Housekeeper. Assist Room Attendants with cleaning guestrooms when needed, including during periods of high occupancy or staffing shortages. Assist with the removal of trash and soiled linen from guestrooms during room turnover. Report room damage or maintenance concerns to the Executive Housekeeper promptly. Assist with housekeeping inventories and maintain adequate supplies throughout the department. Help close the department at the end of the workday when necessary. Use independent judgment to evaluate room cleanliness and take appropriate action to correct deficiencies. Respond professionally to guest questions and provide assistance, directions, and information as requested. Report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, or other safety concerns to the appropriate department. Follow all hotel safety procedures and provide guidance to guests and employees during fire or other emergency situations. Maintain regular attendance and a dependable work schedule. Work varied shifts and schedules based on the needs of the hotel. Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and work rules to ensure a safe and efficient operation. Assist in other housekeeping duties as directed by the Executive Housekeeper. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Preferred Qualifications 1 year of housekeeping supervisory experience preferred 2 years of guestroom housekeeping experience preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and make sound decisions Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members Dependable, organized, and willing to work as part of a team Our hotel is conveniently located on the RRTA Route 19/Manheim bus route . Employees working first, second, or third shift may be eligible for assistance through RRTA's Access to Jobs program, which provides transportation to and from work when regular bus service is not operating.
