Job Overview The Housekeeping Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Harrisonburg oversees daily housekeeping operations to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. This role leads the housekeeping team, coordinates schedules and assignments, conducts inspections, and ensures hotel standards are consistently met. Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, coach, and support housekeeping staff, including room attendants and housekeepers. Schedule and assign daily tasks to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient operations. Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces for cleanliness and quality. Address guest requests and housekeeping concerns promptly and professionally. Monitor guest feedback and identify opportunities to improve service and cleanliness. Coordinate with Maintenance and other departments to address operational needs. Manage inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment. Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and compliance with health and safety standards. Maintain accurate housekeeping records, room statuses, schedules, and inventory. Support departmental budgeting, expense tracking, and cost-control efforts. Foster a positive, collaborative, and service-focused team environment. Communicate effectively with guests, employees, and hotel leadership. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 2-3 years of housekeeping experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction. Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, safety standards, and inventory management. Ability to use housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and move throughout the property. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and climbing stairs. Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
