Job Description

Position Summary The Housekeeping Inspector / Housekeeping Supervisor plays a dual role within the Housekeeping Department. This position serves as the Housekeeping Supervisor approximately two days per week, overseeing daily operations, inspecting guest rooms, and supporting the housekeeping team. During the remainder of the workweek, this position performs the duties of a Room Attendant, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet hotel cleanliness and brand standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and the flexibility to transition between supervisory responsibilities and hands-on housekeeping duties. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Housekeeping Supervisor Responsibilities (Approximately 2 Days Per Week) Supervise and support the housekeeping team during assigned shifts. Inspect guest rooms to ensure cleanliness and compliance with hotel and brand standards. Provide coaching, training, and guidance to housekeeping staff. Assist with daily room assignments and workflow management. Ensure guest requests and special cleaning needs are completed promptly. Communicate room status updates with the Front Desk. Report maintenance issues and follow up to ensure timely resolution. Monitor inventory of housekeeping supplies and linens. Assist management with quality assurance and department productivity. Promote a positive team environment and maintain high service standards. Room Attendant Responsibilities (Remaining Scheduled Shifts) Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to hotel standards. Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish room amenities. Clean bathrooms, dust, vacuum, and sanitize all guest room surfaces. Stock housekeeping carts and maintain supply levels. Report maintenance concerns and lost-and-found items. Ensure all guest rooms are inspection-ready upon completion. Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping storage areas and assigned public spaces. Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and brand standards. Schedule & Availability Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Will serve as the Housekeeping Supervisor approximately two days per week and perform Room Attendant duties during all other scheduled shifts. Schedule is based on business needs. Qualifications Previous hotel housekeeping experience required. Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and coach a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift. Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, push, pull, and reach. Lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds. Push and pull fully loaded housekeeping carts. Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the workday. Work Environment This position works throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and housekeeping storage areas. The Housekeeping Inspector / Supervisor is expected to lead by example, maintain high quality standards, and provide exceptional support to both guests and fellow team members while ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of the property.
Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
