Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and using appropriate protective equipment. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition. Conduct sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to meet health and safety standards. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, minor repairs, or painting as needed. Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages promptly. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers and scrubbers is advantageous. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures is essential for safe operations. Experience with facilities maintenance or general upkeep tasks enhances effectiveness in this role. Strong understanding of sanitation standards and safe lifting practices ensures compliance with safety protocols.
