SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the Janitorial Service Technician (JST) has the responsibility for cleaning the facility in such a way to promote health and safety while reducing the spread of infection. It is the role of the JST to follow daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules at the facility including, but not limited to, the workshops, cafeteria, office areas, bathrooms, storage areas and entrances. The JST may also be responsible for performing additional duties not stipulated below.

REQUIREMENTS

Valid California Driver License First Aid, CPR Certification (Training may be provided by Desert Arc) Clean DMV and background record Maintain professional appearance at all times Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure Ability to follow oral and written instructions

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, floors, and dispensers Empty trash and recycling containers and properly dispose of waste in designated areas Clean windows, glass doors, and other interior/exterior surfaces as assigned Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels in restrooms and breakrooms Clean and sanitize meeting rooms or special event spaces as needed Respond to urgent cleaning needs (e.g., spills, biohazard incidents) Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and tools in accordance with safety guidelines Report maintenance or safety issues to a supervisor promptly Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols Maintain janitorial equipment in clean and safe working condition Ensure proper storage and labeling of cleaning agents and supplies Adhere to infection control and hazard communication standards Comply with Desert Arc policies, procedures, and workplace safety rules Perform other duties assigned
