Overview Join our dynamic facilities team as a Maintenance/Janitor, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our environment spotless, safe, and welcoming. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure environment. Conduct heavy lifting tasks in accordance with safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, waste disposal, and ensuring proper storage of cleaning supplies. Execute routine maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting residential areas when required, and reporting larger maintenance issues promptly. Operate cleaning machinery efficiently while adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to facility needs and assisting staff or visitors with custodial requests. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and mops is essential for effective performance. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures ensures safe use of cleaning products. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs and painting enhances versatility in the role. Strong understanding of sanitation standards and safety protocol adherence is necessary for maintaining a secure environment. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently, including heavy lifting and moving supplies or furniture. Excellent customer service skills help foster positive interactions with staff and visitors while addressing their custodial needs.
