Overview Join our dynamic team as an Environmental Services Technician and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across our facilities. This energetic position involves performing comprehensive cleaning and sanitation tasks to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met, supporting the health and well-being of staff, patients, visitors, and the community. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all designated areas, including patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces, following established protocols. Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure effective sanitation while adhering to safety guidelines. Conduct routine floor care procedures such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces. Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, safety inspections, and supply inventories for accountability and quality assurance. Respond promptly to special cleaning requests or spillages to uphold cleanliness standards at all times. Support infection control initiatives by following hospital or facility-specific sanitation procedures. Requirements Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial cleaning or healthcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to cleaning chemicals and equipment usage. Experience with floor care techniques such as stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet extraction is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols accurately. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward safety and sanitation practices. Previous experience in hospital or healthcare environments is a plus but not mandatory.
