Sanitation Technician I - $21.60 The Sanitation Technician I is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the production environment and equipment to meet established quality and food safety standards. This position supports production operations by following sanitation procedures, maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment, and completing sanitation activities within required timelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Follow Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs). Clean and sanitize production areas and equipment according to established procedures. Perform daily machine tear-downs and set-ups while maintaining food safety and quality standards. Complete required sanitation activities throughout the facility. Safely handle and store sanitation chemicals. Read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Follow food safety, pest control, and food defense procedures. Use hand tools and material-handling equipment as required. Communicate concerns, questions, or sanitation issues to the supervisor in a timely manner. Maintain professional communication with team members and leadership. Participate in workplace safety meetings and follow established safety procedures. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and applicable quality and food safety programs. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Previous food manufacturing sanitation or food safety experience preferred. Ability to read and understand work instructions. Strong verbal communication skills. Ability to operate a variety of hand tools. Must be comfortable working with sanitation chemicals while using appropriate PPE and following established safety procedures. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Schedule Full-time position. Sunday through Friday. 9:00 p.m. - 5:30 a.m. Work Environment / Physical Requirements Approximately 90% of the position is performed in a refrigerated environment. Position requires standing and walking throughout the shift. Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, twist, crouch, crawl, and climb. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Must be comfortable performing physically demanding work for extended periods.
