Production Quality Inspector I A Shift 7a-3:30p, B Shift 3p-11:30p, 3rd Shift 11p-7a Pay $21.60 The Production Quality Inspector I is responsible for ensuring products meet established quality standards, specifications, and food safety requirements throughout the manufacturing and packaging process. This position performs routine and random inspections, monitors product quality, identifies defects or non-conforming products, and communicates quality concerns to production personnel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform scheduled and random quality inspections throughout production runs. Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process production, and finished products for quality and consistency. Conduct visual inspections for defects, contamination, damage, color variations, sizing issues, and packaging integrity. Perform random product sampling and quality testing during production. Verify product weights, labeling, coding, and packaging accuracy. Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and document findings as required. Accurately record inspection results, quality data, and corrective actions. Identify and communicate quality concerns to production supervisors and management. Assist production operators with quality-related questions and troubleshooting. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety programs, quality procedures, and workplace safety requirements. Participate in internal audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in quality control, food manufacturing, food processing, agriculture, or a production environment preferred but not required. Basic computer and data entry skills preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to quickly identify product defects or inconsistencies. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to use computers, tablets, scanners, and digital inspection equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and electronic recordkeeping systems preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required. Schedule Full-time position. Monday through Friday. Saturdays may be required based on production schedules and business needs. Work Environment / Physical Requirements Approximately 90% of the position is performed in a production or warehouse environment, including refrigerated areas. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to bend, kneel, reach, climb, and perform repetitive motions. Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds. Must be comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and moving production lines. Position requires the use of sight, smell, and touch to evaluate product quality. Must be able to maintain focus while performing repetitive inspections.
