A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Industrial Tank & Equipment Cleaner (Turnaround)
Location:
DOW Chemical Facility -
Freeport, TX Pay Rate:
$25.00 / hour
Schedule:
12-Hour Shifts | 6 Days On, 1 Day Off (3-Week Project) Job Overview We are seeking 2 dependable, hardworking associates to join a client's specialized turnaround crew at the DOW Chemical facility in Freeport, TX. This temporary 3-week assignment supports critical maintenance and cleaning operations during a scheduled plant shutdown. Responsibilities may focus on cleaning high-pressure valves, servicing pumps, staging high-tech robotic cleaning equipment, and supporting manual hydro-blasting or vacuum operations.
Key Responsibilities Equipment & Component Cleaning:
Perform manual and pressure-washing maintenance on valves, pumps, piping, and industrial tank exterior components.
Robotic Cleaning Operations Support:
Transport, stage, assemble, and haul automated cleaning equipment and accessories across the job site.
Confined Space Support:
Provide topside watch, line-handling, and safety support for crew members operating inside tanks.
Rigging & Staging:
Safely haul, set up, and tear down hoses, pumps, vacuum lines, and high-pressure washing gear.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all OSHA and DOW plant safety standards including PPE adherence and site hazard monitoring.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Prior industrial cleaning, turnaround, refinery, or heavy labor experience preferred.
Certifications:
Active TWIC card and ability to work at DOW facility required. Current Basic Plus / Safety Essentials and other site-specific training highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long durations, work in outdoor weather conditions, and wear required PPE.
Schedule Availability:
Must be able to work 12-hour shifts on a 6-days-on, 1-day-off rotation for the full 3-week turnaround project.
Workplace Standards:
Must pass site-required background checks and drug screens.
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $25.00 Per Hour
