Bank Janitorial Floater (High-Travel Role)
Location:
Detroit & Greater Metro Area (Multiple Locations Daily)
Shift:
Evenings (5:00 PM - 2:00AM

Status:
Full-Time The Reality of This Role This is not a "one building, one shift" job. As a Floater, you are our emergency response team. You will be on the road for a significant portion of your shift, navigating through Detroit's neighborhoods and the surrounding suburbs. You might start your evening in Wyandotte , head up to a branch in Rochester , and finish with an emergency cover in Grosse Pointe . If you do not enjoy driving or do not have a vehicle you trust to handle 50-100+ miles an evening in Michigan weather, this is not the role for you.
Key Responsibilities Rapid Deployment:
Respond to last-minute "call-outs" by driving to assigned bank branches across all Michigan counties.
Route Navigation:
Efficiently manage your own travel between sites.
Bank-Specific Cleaning:
Perform high-security cleaning including sanitizing ATMs, teller lines, glass partitions, and private offices.
Solo Operation:
Work independently at various locations, often being the only person in the building with the keys and alarm code.
Supply Transport:
Keep your vehicle stocked with essential cleaning kits to ensure you're ready for any site regardless of their on-site inventory.
Cleaning Responsibilities Restroom & Break Room Care:
Clean, sanitize, and stock supplies (paper towels, soap, etc.).
Floor Maintenance:
Sweep, mop, and vacuum various floor surfaces.
Waste Management:
Efficient trash removal and liner replacement.
Surface Cleaning:
Dusting desks, furniture, and fixtures; window washing as needed.
Sanitization:
Disinfecting high-touch areas to ensure a healthy environment.
Inventory:
Replenishing paper products and tracking cleaning supplies. The "Done" Standard (Shift Expectations) In this role, we do not watch the clock; we watch the results. Quality over

A shift is not finished simply because the clock hits a certain hour.
Manager Sign-off:
You are officially "done" for the night only once your supervisor has completed a final walkthrough, verified all tasks are completed to 100% satisfaction, and cleared you to leave.
Commitment:

Non-Negotiable:
You must have a dependable, insured vehicle capable of daily, long-distance travel across the Metro area.
Valid Driver's License:
A clean driving record is required as you will be frequently moving between high-traffic areas.
All-Weather Comfort:
You must be comfortable driving in Michigan winters, rain, and heavy construction traffic like I-75, and I-94.
Smartphone Proficiency:
Ability to use GPS and mobile apps to clock in/out at different geographic locations throughout the night.
Physical Requirements & Skills Stamina:
The ability to go from "car to work" multiple times a night.
Trustworthiness:
You will be handling keys and alarm codes for financial institutions; a background check is mandatory.
Adaptability:
The schedule changes daily. You must be okay with not knowing exactly where your "office" will be until the shift starts.
What We Offer Competitive Hourly Pay:
Higher rate than stationary cleaners to account for the "floater" nature of the role.
Travel:
To help cover the cost of gas. You will be provided with a gas card.
