A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Summary/Objective The Paint Prep Cleaner position is responsible for cleaning and preparing parts for paint / powder coating process on the paint line. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Cleaning and preparing parts for painting including plugging and masking parts to be painted. Grind parts to remove sharp edges. Use overhead crane to move parts to wash area. Remove slag from workpieces in raw stock stage before painting. Forklift operation or willing and able to be trained to safely operate a forklift Must identify, store, stack, organize and stage product. Sweeping, cleaning, removal of trash, and scrap. Preventative maintenance as required. Competencies Reading, writing and basic mathematics. Safety conscious. Initiative. Teamwork orientation. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred Education and Experience Two (2) years of manufacturing experience. Crane and forklift experience is preferred.
