The work hours are 4:00 pm - 8:30 pm. Key Duties and Responsibilities A Custodial Worker I performs routine cleaning and semi-skilled maintenance tasks and is responsible for the efficient and economical cleaning and maintenance of a school building or an assigned section.

Duties typically include:

Performing a variety of cleaning tasks (e.g., sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming floors; dusting and polishing furniture; cleaning walls, restrooms, and fixtures). Making minor, non-technical repairs to building and equipment. Moving and arranging furniture and equipment. Operating and maintaining building cleaning equipment (e.g., buffers, floor scrubbers). Performing general grounds-keeping tasks such as snow removal or lawn care as needed. Reporting maintenance needs or concerns to a supervisor.
