Overview We are seeking a dedicated Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment for our facilities located at St. Mary Church, St. Barbara Church, St. Joseph Church & St. Mary School. Duties

• Building repairs and overall building operation and maintenance
• Building heat maintenance and monitoring
• Playground and grounds monitoring for safety
• Grounds care and upkeep
• Setting up and tearing down hall for functions
• Accompany all inspectors, including health and fire inspectors; file reports in the school/parish office
• Performance of maintenance tasks and repairs as needed.
• Communicate with supervisors/pastor about school maintenance concerns; inform of any "non-routine" maintenance expense
• Communicate with the supervisors/pastor about school equipment needs; purchase of "non-routine" items must be cleared by a supervisor.
• Work with supervisors/pastor to oversee the asbestos management plan and fulfills all duties and inspections as designated by the plan; perform all necessary repairs in accordance with acceptable procedures
• Work with the supervisors on school/building safety inspection requirements
• Work with the pastor/supervisor to prioritize long-range maintenance needs and capital improvement projects
• Consult on all contracts involving building maintenance and cleaning
• Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper waste management
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and common areas
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed
• Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment Qualifications
• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices
• Ability to maintain floors including buffing and floor care
• Experience in residential painting is a plus
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning procedures
• Strong attention to detail and ability to clean efficiently
