$37.00/ HR Position Summary We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Environmental Service Technicians to support custodial and sanitation services at designated VA Portland Health Care System locations, including Vancouver campus areas. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and presentable environment for Veterans, visitors, staff, and other facility occupants. Key Responsibilities Clean and disinfect restrooms, sinks, toilets, urinals, partitions, mirrors, doors, handles, dispensers, vents, and touch surfaces. Sweep, dust mop, damp mop, wet mop, vacuum, buff, and maintain floors in assigned areas. Empty, sanitize, and reline trash containers. Restock restroom consumables and supplies as needed. Work Schedule Multiple shifts may be available Required Qualifications Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder . Prior custodial, housekeeping, janitorial, hospital environmental services, or sanitation experience preferred. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow detailed cleaning instructions. Must be able to complete required VA onboarding, training, fingerprinting, and background investigation before starting work. Must be able to work assigned shift and location. Availability for VA onboarding and background processing. Important Onboarding Notice Credentialing and onboarding may take approximately 6 to 8 weeks .
