A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

A local nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals who are blind or visually impaired is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming office environment at our Chester location. If you take pride in your work, enjoy keeping facilities well maintained, and appreciate being part of an organization that makes a meaningful difference in the community, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors Emptying trash and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms Performing outdoor maintenance, including weed trimming and litter removal Coordinating with vendors for fire alarm testing and routine pest control services Ability to lift 50 pounds Assisting with general building maintenance and other custodial duties as assigned This position includes both indoor and outdoor work and requires working in a variety of weather conditions. Schedule Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Valid driver's license required Reliable transportation required Ability to work independently and perform physical custodial tasks Why Join Us?
