American Rooter is hiring a Plumber / Drain Cleaning Technician to serve customers throughout Northeast Pennsylvania. We're looking for someone who can troubleshoot problems, explain repair options clearly, and take pride in completing quality work. This is a hands-on service position with a mix of plumbing repairs, drain cleaning, and sewer diagnostics. You'll work with an established local team and have opportunities to expand your skills.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Diagnose and repair residential plumbing problems, including leaks, faucets, toilets, valves, pressure-reducing valves, and water heaters. Clear drain and sewer blockages using cable machines and hydro-jetting equipment. Perform sewer camera inspections and locate underground lines. Identify needed repairs and explain findings and options to customers. Complete preventative maintenance and plumbing assessments for SallyCare members. Prepare estimates, obtain customer approval, and collect payments when required. Document findings, completed work, and photos in ServiceTitan. Keep your service vehicle, tools, and equipment clean and organized. Follow company safety procedures and communicate with the office throughout the day.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Previous hands-on plumbing and/or professional drain-cleaning experience. Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete work independently within your experience level. Experience with sewer cameras and hydro-jetting equipment is a plus. A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements. Dependability, clear communication, and a professional attitude with customers. Comfort using an iPad or mobile app for job information, estimates, photos, and timekeeping. Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, including handling equipment and working in basements, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

PAY AND BENEFITS

Hourly pay based on experience and demonstrated ability. Opportunity to earn a 15% commission on profit from qualifying customer-paid sales, subject to company program terms. Company service vehicle for work use and company shirts. Company pays 75% of medical, dental, and vision premiums after 90 days. Paid holidays beginning on day one. 40 hours of PTO after 90 days, increasing to 80 hours after one year. 401(k) with a 4% company match after six months, subject to plan eligibility and terms.

LOCATION

Based out of our Freeland office at 1934 State Route 940, Freeland, PA 18224, serving Hazleton, Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, and surrounding communities. This is an in-person field position requiring travel throughout our service area.

EMPLOYEES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE THERE OWN TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE AMERICAN ROOTER SHOP/OFFICES.
