Automotive Technician SMR Service LLC is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and has the skills to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles. This is a paid position in a professional, fast-paced shop where experience, reliability, quality workmanship, and continued growth are valued. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using advanced diagnostic equipment, electrical systems, schematics, and service information. Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, shocks and struts, steering, and other vehicle systems. Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and other preventative maintenance. Perform Pennsylvania State Safety Inspections and Emissions Inspections in accordance with PA requirements. Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot automotive electrical and mechanical problems. Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, welding equipment, and other shop equipment safely and efficiently. Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and repair procedures. Communicate clearly with customers regarding vehicle concerns, recommended repairs, and completed work. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or in a professional automotive repair setting. Valid Pennsylvania State Safety Inspection and Emissions License required. Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems. Experience with suspension, brake, steering, tire service, and wheel alignment procedures. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to accurately read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical information. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and other automotive repair equipment. Ability to work independently while also being a reliable member of a team.
