Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and surface sanitation across different settings. Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to uphold hygiene standards in all areas. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, and janitorial tools efficiently and safely. Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms as needed. Maintain the cleanliness of floors through proper floor care techniques, including stripping, sealing, waxing, and buffing surfaces. Use cleaning detergents and chemicals responsibly while adhering to safety guidelines for manual handling and heavy lifting. Communicate effectively with clients regarding specific cleaning requests or concerns to ensure satisfaction. Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining quality standards. Support outdoor work activities when required, such as cleaning exterior surfaces or outdoor furniture. Assist with housekeeping management tasks when applicable, ensuring all areas are consistently maintained to high standards. Qualifications Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or residential cleaning practices. Familiarity with cleaning surfaces, equipment operation, and sanitation procedures. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks comfortably. Strong organizational skills with excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively. Customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members. Experience with carpet cleaning, floor care techniques, dusting, and outdoor cleaning is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning detergents and chemicals along with safety protocols for their use.
