GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this position is to provide custodial services in maintaining County buildings in a clean, orderly, and safe manner. This position performs cleaning duties and informs management of repair needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Collects and disposes of trash and debris. Collects, sorts, and disposes of recyclables. Provides general custodial maintenance of assigned county buildings and facilities, to include Westminster Library. Performs various custodial duties in restrooms such as cleaning sinks, toilets, and urinals. Restocks all paper products in restrooms. Vacuums and cleans carpet floors. Sweeps, mops, strips, waxes, and buffs tile floors. Cleans interior and exterior windows. Moves furniture and equipment as directed. Disposes of furniture and equipment as directed. Notifies management of needed repairs. Notifies management of needed supplies. Supervises inmates from detention center and/or individuals performing community service by assisting with custodial duties. Maintains County owned vehicle. Notifies management of any concerns with vehicle. Performs other related duties as assigned.
