Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures during cleaning tasks. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while adhering to safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces regularly. Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others. Support general janitorial functions including replenishing supplies and ensuring cleaning tools are properly maintained. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests or concerns from staff or visitors related to cleanliness or facility needs. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners is highly desirable. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation practices is essential. Experience with facilities maintenance or basic repair work is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper manual handling techniques. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
