EVS Position Summary As a valued member of the Environmental Services department, this position will be responsible for exceeding service excellence expectations while performing environmental services-related tasks to provide a clean and safe environment for patients, family members, guests, healthcare team members, and other associates. The Aide will work individually or as part of a team to maintain cleanliness in office areas, exam rooms, public spaces, restrooms, ancillary areas, patient care rooms, and complete special projects as assigned. Tasks will include using specialized equipment and chemicals to ensure sanitary conditions. Adherence to departmental and hospital-wide policies, including safety, patient care, and privacy protocols, is essential. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean and maintain assigned areas to exceed cleanliness and safety standards. Utilize proper techniques, specialized equipment, and approved chemicals. Follow departmental and hospital-wide policies, procedures, and quality standards. Maintain a clean and professional appearance while communicating clearly and professionally with others. Actively promote and maintain a safe work environment. Assist in special cleaning projects as required.Qualifications Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
- 0-6 months of related experience
- preferred Licenses /
Certifications:
- Infection control or healthcare environmental services training
- preferred
- Basic safety training (OSHA awareness)
- preferred
- EVS or housekeeping certifications
- preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn: o Safety and OSHA guidelines o HIPAA/privacy requirements
- Infection-control practices
- Physical ability to: o Stand and walk for extended periods o Lift, bend, push, or pull cleaning equipment
- Professional communication and customer-service mindset
