Job Description

Slice Master - Strad Pizza Strad Pizza is looking for a skilled, energetic, and dependable Slice Master to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced pizza shop and can confidently handle multiple responsibilities throughout a shift. The ability to properly hand-stretch pizza dough is one of the most important requirements for this position. We are looking for someone who already has experience working with fresh pizza dough and understands how to stretch, shape, top, and prepare pizzas consistently. Responsibilities Hand-stretch and shape pizza dough to Strad Pizza standards Build, top, bake, cut, and finish pizzas consistently Maintain proper portioning and presentation of all menu items Prep pizza ingredients, sauces, cheeses, toppings, and other food items Prepare the station for service and keep it stocked throughout the shift Take guest orders accurately and provide friendly customer service Operate the POS/register and handle transactions when needed Package dine-in and takeout orders Monitor product quality and freshness Follow recipes, portion standards, and food safety procedures Maintain a clean and organized pizza station, prep area, and kitchen Wash dishes and assist with general cleaning as needed Restock ingredients, paper goods, and supplies Assist other team members during busy periods Help with opening and closing responsibilities Complete daily prep and cleaning lists Communicate clearly with coworkers and management Perform additional duties as needed to keep the restaurant running smoothly What We're Looking For Pizza dough experience is strongly preferred and the ability to hand-stretch dough is a must.
Ideal candidates will have:
Previous pizza-making or restaurant kitchen experience Experience hand-stretching fresh pizza dough Ability to produce pizzas quickly while maintaining consistency and quality Strong knife and basic food-preparation skills Ability to follow recipes and portion standards Good communication and customer-service skills Ability to take orders and work with a POS system Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to stay organized and productive during busy periods Willingness to clean, prep, stock, and help wherever needed Positive attitude and team-first mentality Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to safely lift and carry restaurant supplies and ingredients What Makes a Great Slice Master at Strad We're looking for someone who takes pride in making a great pizza. You should care about the stretch, the shape, the toppings, the bake, and the final presentation that goes out to the guest. This is not a position where you will only stand at the pizza oven. Everyone on our team contributes. During your shift, you may be stretching dough one minute, prepping ingredients the next, taking an order, restocking the line, or helping clean up after a rush. If you are dependable, comfortable working with pizza dough, enjoy working with people, and aren't afraid to jump in wherever you're needed, we'd love to meet you. Experience hand-stretching pizza dough will be discussed and/or demonstrated during the interview process.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
