Days of the week are flexible and may vary based on availability, providing an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a flexible part-time schedule. I. General Purpose of the Job The purpose of this position is to deliver an exceptional dining experience for residents and their guests, consistent with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines, as well as Artesia Christian Home's policies and procedures. The Care Partner V position provides hospitality-focused support by performing food service and housekeeping duties in dining areas and common areas. This role supports a person-centered, relationship-based approach, collaborating with Memory Care Community staff, family members, and volunteers to ensure resident needs are met. This position also works in conjunction with the direction provided by Morrison Living Cooks and kitchen supervisors. II. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Promptly and warmly greet guests in the Dining Room. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for guests. Efficiently take food and beverage orders using established service steps; Prepare and collect guest tickets and tray delivery forms. Work under the guidance of Morrison Living cooks, kitchen supervisors, and program directors to maintain high food quality, presentation, and service standards. Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards. Monitor the dining experience for all by following up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests. Address concerns or complaints respectfully and escalate significant issues to the supervisor. Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and ingredients. Advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested, accommodate reasonable requests, and note preferences. As needed, demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens. Liaise with back-of-house staff to ensure order accuracy and fulfill special accommodation or requests. Exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate the ability to get along well with others. Remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff. Demonstrate high levels of sensitivity and protect confidentiality regarding shared personal or medical information. Set up and break down the Memory Care Dining Room before/after services. Report equipment, supply, or facility issues promptly to supervisors and assist with inventory and restocking as directed. Operate various equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, coffee machines). Ensure all kitchen, dining, and common areas remain clean and stocked (e.g., wiping surfaces, sweeping, restocking, and assisting with dish clean-up as needed). Maintain cleanliness in lobby bathroom and lobby area (stocking, mopping, dusting, windows, baseboards). Maintain cleanliness in the employee break room (e.g., cleaning the coffee pot daily, countertops, sinks, refrigerator, and other appliances). Clean and maintain lobby area, including, but not limited to, mopping floors, cleaning windows and baseboards, dusting, etc. Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions. Perform other duties as assigned. General Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrate core values and non-negotiable behaviors as defined by the Artesia Christian Home. Always follow Residents' Rights and confidentiality policies. Follow facility safety, emergency & disaster program. Observe and adhere to all health, safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols. Assume accountability for data contained in the employees' handbook. Attend all ongoing in-service training programs and complete Relias trainings as assigned Stay updated on best practices, policies, and resident dining standards. Perform other related duties as directed by supervisors cooperatively. III . Qualifications Must pass a California criminal background clearance. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Possess at least a high school education or GED, and at least six months of prior experience is preferred. Must be willing to work beyond normal working hours and in other positions, temporarily, when necessary. Must be in good physical and mental condition to perform assigned tasks; Must pass a health screening test performed by a licensed physician, including a chest X-ray or intradermal test for TB. Must be able to hear, talk, and have a clear vision with or without corrective lenses. Must be capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously for the entire shift, frequent stooping and bending, and lifting of up to 30 lbs. Must have sufficient manual dexterity to operate a fire extinguisher, the dish machine, and other cleaning equipment. Must be able to work in wet and/or humid conditions, subject to extreme cold and heat, substances, chemicals, and burns from equipment requiring precautions. Must possess the ability to get along well with others and work as a team member, demonstrating flexibility and patience. Must have good personal hygiene to comply with the Department of Health practices and regulations.
