White Gate Farm, located in East Lyme, CT specializes in fresh organic produce, poultry, eggs, and flowers. Situated in Southeastern Connecticut on 100 acres of lovely New England landscape, it is a great destination for shopping at our farm stand, visiting the animals and seeing a small family farm that above all values the health of its customers and the environment.

Position Overview:

White Gate Farm is seeking a reliable and experienced Kitchen Associate to assist the Kitchen Lead in the completion of daily kitchen operations, management of food production, and maintenance of high standards of quality and safety. This is a full-time position averaging approximately 32-40 hours per week. The schedule will generally be Monday to Friday, but may vary based on production needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist menu planning and coordination of food production Assist dough production and preparation Assist baking and cooking a variety of menu items Assist preparation of fillings, sides, and packaged goods Assist inventory tracking for food and kitchen supplies Assist labeling and packaging of finished products Maintain food safety standards and cleanliness of kitchen workspace Assist with event coordination as required

Qualifications:

Prior experience in kitchen operations, food production, or similar role preferred Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periodsAbility to perform moderate lifting

Compensation & Benefits:

Full-time position (32-40 hours/week) Hourly range $19

• 22 per hour depending on experience Healthcare option available for full-time employees Paid Time Off (PTO)
• 80 hours per year Sick Leave
• Up to 40 hours per year

Work Schedule:
