We're looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and dependable Closing Team Member to join our Pokeworks crew! As a key part of our team, you'll help deliver a fast, fresh, and friendly dining experience while making sure the restaurant finishes each day strong. Closing Team Members play an important role in keeping our restaurant clean, organized, stocked, and ready for the next day. From taking care of guests and assembling food to restocking, cleaning service areas, washing dishes, and completing closing responsibilities, every task helps keep the team running smoothly. Because a strong close sets the team up for a successful next day, the ideal candidate is responsible, accountable, dependable, and consistent. You should be self-motivated, able to manage your time effectively, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in leaving things better than you found them. Schedule:
For the right candidate, this will be a year round fixed schedule from 4:00pm-CL Monday through Friday. Please note; hours of operation are extended one hour during the Summer. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation and ensure all menu items meet quality standards before closing. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales transactions accurately. Manage customer orders efficiently, upselling products to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace, including kitchen equipment and food handling areas. Process cash and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy in cash register operations and cash handling procedures. Support food safety management by adhering to sanitation protocols and proper food handling practices. Close out registers at the end of each shift, balancing cash drawers and preparing reports for management.
Pay:
$17.50-$17.65 per hour. + tips distributed into paycheck. Based on experience. Bi-weekly pay. Opportunities for bonus' based on performance.
Duties:
Must be punctual, dependable, reliable, and accountable for completing assigned closing responsibilities Provide friendly, attentive hospitality by greeting guests, taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring a positive dining experience Prepare food and menu items according to company recipes, standards, and food safety guidelines Operate POS systems accurately while handling cash and processing sales transactions Maintain an efficient pace throughout the shift while balancing guest service with closing responsibilities Restock ingredients, toppings, sauces, utensils, packaging, beverages, and other supplies to ensure the restaurant is fully prepared for the next day Complete end-of-day cleaning and sanitation of food prep areas, counters, equipment, dining areas, floors, and other assigned areas Properly clean, sanitize, and organize kitchen and service stations according to closing procedures Wash, sanitize, and put away dishes, utensils, equipment, and small wares Complete assigned closing side work, including wiping down surfaces, cleaning equipment, taking out trash, sweeping, mopping, and other designated tasks Properly store, label, date, and secure food and ingredients at the end of service Assist with inventory checks and communicate low-stock or missing items to the manager Break down and organize workstations while ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored Follow all company procedures, health department requirements, food safety standards, and sanitation practices Work efficiently with the closing team to ensure all closing duties are completed thoroughly and on time Communicate any maintenance, equipment, inventory, or operational concerns to the manager before leaving Leave the restaurant clean, organized, stocked, and ready for the opening team Assist with other restaurant duties and side work as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
Must be dependable, reliable, punctual, and consistent Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities and follows through without constant supervision Strong work ethic with the ability to stay productive through the end of the shift Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment Strong attention to detail, particularly with cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and closing procedures Previous experience in food preparation, food service, quick service, or fast-casual restaurants is a plus Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and sales transactions Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to provide genuine hospitality through eye contact, a friendly attitude, and professional interaction with guests Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices is a plus Ability to multitask while maintaining quality, accuracy, and attention to detail Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to the team Ability to follow directions, learn procedures quickly, and adapt to changing priorities Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying throughout the shift Availability to work closing shifts, including holidays as needed Join us as a Closing Team Member and be part of what makes every day at Pokeworks finish strong!
