Job Location:
Dumpling Time Warehouse 370 S 8th St. Ste #107 Boise, ID 83702 Dumpling Time Warehouse brings fast, casual, counter-service dumplings and Asian comfort food to Boise. As the second Boise location from Omakase Restaurant Group, a California-based restaurant group, Dumpling Time Warehouse offers a refined yet approachable menu featuring handmade dumplings, gyoza, bao, and noodle dishes. We are looking for energetic, hardworking team members who are comfortable moving between the kitchen and the counter and who take pride in great food and quick, friendly service. This is a hybrid Kitchen/Counter role. The Team Member will prepare and cook menu items to Dumpling Time standards and also take guest orders, operate the POS, and serve food at the counter. The ideal candidate is flexible, works well under pressure, and is comfortable switching between back-of-house and front-of-house tasks throughout a shift. Prerequisites for
Employment:
  • Food Handler Certification, or ability to obtain within a reasonable time of hire. Role Responsibilities / Duties
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipe and company standards.
  • Take orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
  • Assemble and expedite orders, ensuring accuracy and timely service.
  • Understand and communicate food allergies and special requests between the customer and the kitchen.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all restaurant areas throughout the shift.
  • Follow standard processes including, but not limited to, portion sizes, cooking methods, presentation, product quality, and food safety & sanitation procedures.
  • Stock and restock kitchen, storage, and counter stations as needed.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering needs.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, management, and fellow team members.
  • Assist in the assembly of dumplings, including filling, folding, and shaping, ensuring consistent quality and portion sizes; package dumplings in appropriate containers or packaging materials.
  • Operate food production equipment such as dumpling machines, mixers, or dough rollers, following operational instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Inspect dumplings for quality, consistency, and appearance, removing any defective or substandard products.
  • Expedite, prepare, pack, label, and execute orders, in-house, online ordering, catering, etc., with accuracy and care. Role Requirements
  • Must be able to work daytime, afternoon, and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Prior experience as a Prep Cook, Line Cook, or similar role.
  • Previous experience in a food production environment, especially with dumplings, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of food preparation and safety practices.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) in English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to accept feedback and adjust performance accordingly.
  • Customer service oriented with a commitment to quality food and service.
