This role involves preparing ingredients, organizing supplies, maintaining sanitary work areas, and helping ensure food orders are prepared efficiently. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive to detail, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant kitchen. Key Responsibilities Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and routine kitchen tasks. Wash, peel, cut, and organize ingredients as directed. Prepare ingredients and supplies for daily food service. Help assemble food orders according to kitchen instructions. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked workstations. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment as needed. Clean counters, sinks, floors, and other assigned kitchen areas. Store ingredients and supplies according to food-safety procedures. Monitor kitchen supplies and communicate restocking needs. Assist cooks and other kitchen team members during busy service periods. Follow food-handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Support kitchen opening, closing, and routine cleaning duties. Work cooperatively with the kitchen and restaurant team to maintain efficient operations. Qualifications Previous kitchen, restaurant, café, or food-service experience is helpful but not required. Dependable, punctual, and responsible. Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn food-preparation methods and kitchen procedures.
