Job Description

Lutheran Social Service MN is a dynamic social service organization serving children, youth and families, people with disabilities, older adults, and military veterans. This role offers a flexible schedule, NO weekends and plays a huge role in your local community! This position will assist in preparing meals to serve or package for various populations from youth to adult and/or transport in bulk to satellite meal sites.
Job Requirements:
A minimum of one year of equivalent experience in a full-service kitchen in a health care facility, school or restaurant.
Knowledge of quantity cooking:
the ability to follow standardized recipes and convert measurements to accommodate the number of meals needed. Knowledge of all kitchen equipment and utensils usage. Knowledge of Health Department regulations. Ability to follow written and oral instructions, train, supervise, and direct site staff and volunteers. Represent LSS in a professional manner through adhering to dress code and personal hygiene practices. Represent LSS as the provider of this service, engaging with diners to promote a welcoming and inviting atmosphere Valid driver's license preferred The successful candidate must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study and have a drivers' license; a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) is required.
