Job Summary:
Assist in food preparation as assigned and set up food serving lines. Position involves handling a number of food allergens and a variety of meat products. Serve food in the correct portions by adhering to the production records and standardized recipes. Assist in clean up. Perform Point of Sale (POS) procedures as assigned. Adhere to District's HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) plan. Wash, sanitize and store kitchen equipment and utensils according to USDA and local guidelines. Support and promote the meal programs offered at the site. Perform other tasks within the level of responsibilities indicated above as assigned by supervisor.Qualifications:
Must have completed or be willing to enroll and complete the SNS required food safety training course. Experience in a public school kitchen and/or background in related food service operations. Knowledge of government guidelines and procedures concerning sanitation and safety. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Computer skills and experience or willing to learn. Regular, on-time attendance is required. Stooping, bending, occasional awkward positions may be necessary to perform essential functions of the position. Must be able to lift 31-50 lbs. Commitment toEquity:
