Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the food industry and develop their skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist cooks and chefs in preparing ingredients for meals, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations and hygiene standards. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager. Support catering events by preparing food items and assisting with setup and breakdown as required. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, and other food preparation tools. Skills Basic cooking skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques. Proficiency in using knives and other kitchen tools safely.
