Job Description

Location:
1272 Lawson White Dr. Columbia Tn. 38401 •
Shift:
11 AM-7PM Rotating Weekends (Shift Times and DAYS will vary on weekends but most likely 10AM-6PM)•
General Responsibilities:
The Kitchen Assistant is trained by the Kitchen Supervisor to follow State of Tennessee approved menus. The assistant will be trained to follow all proper procedures and protocols of the facility. The kitchen assistant will also be certified as a YSO.
Duties:
. The following duties apply to ALL kitchen workers: 1. Follow a State approved menu. 2. Help the kitchen supervisor to assure that the kitchen meets all standards and codes of the State of Tennessee Department of Health. 3. Assist kitchen supervisor with preparing any special or modified diets as directed by a resident's physician. 4. Ensure that all trays, sporks, utensils, carrying bags, etc. are brought back to WHWH after each use and cleaned appropriately. 5. Ensure that the coolers are wiped out daily. 6. Ensure that the grease is emptied after every use of the flat-top grill. 7. Ensure that the deep-fryer grease is changed every weekend. 8. Ensure that the freezers are defrosted as needed. 9. Ensure that on Mondays, the following cleaning is done: a) Behind the grill b) Underneath the warmer table c) Behind & underneath the ice machine and dishwasher (w/ bleach) 10. Ensure that on Wednesdays, the bottom shelf (pots & pans) gets wiped down. 11. Always make sure all spills (wet or dry) are cleaned up immediately. 12. Mondays & Thursday's kitchen asst. is to help put up stock. 13. Follow all applicable policies of WHWH/H011is Academy. 14. Demonstrate competence in cultural knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity. 15. Report directly to your superior (Kitchen Supervisor) with any questions, comments, problems, concerns, in regard to your kitchen duties.
Qualifications and Experience:
High School diploma or
COMPLETED GED TRANSCRIPTS
Cooking experience Must be at least 21 years of age Valid Tennessee State Driver's License or ID and another form of ID Completed any training required by the State of Tennessee and put forth by the Kitchen Supervisor.
NO FELONY CONVICTIONS
