You:

Passionate, consistent, prompt, quick on your feet, and with an eye for detail. Good at prioritizing time and keeping an upbeat and level head during busy times and at staying productive during slower times. Able to repeatedly lift 50lb ingredient bags without injury. Previous kitchen experience is absolutely required for this position. You should already care about the work you do and the product you make. We can teach you to make a great pizza, but we can't teach you to care.

Your resume should show multiple jobs held for multiple years. We're not looking for someone to bounce around. We hire for the long haul.

no toxic chef egos, please. We get it, your Brunoise looks incredible. If you're too cool to follow a recipe or ask for help, you won't be a good fit. Humility and teachability can co-exist with experience.

Windy City Pie is a Chicago-style pan deep-dish pizza and tavern thin crust pizza restaurant with an award-winning beverage program! We make most of our items from scratch (dough, house-ground sausage, house-pickled veggies) and are always working to provide impeccable service and quality. Started from humble beginnings--slinging pizza out of a condo and meeting people on a street corner--we've grown into a popular, well-regarded, full-service restaurant in Phinney Ridge. We have very low turnover and are looking to continue to foster a team that takes care of its own. Good taste in music and a dry sense of humor are also big pluses for the team.

Job:

We have a very flat management structure, so everyone is expected to, over time, learn all aspects of the operation. You should be willing to work the line, manage incoming orders, run ovens, and do all the prep that comes with pizza, i.e. making dough, batching sauces, and processing cheese to name a few. Creativity is encouraged--bounce new ideas and punny names off one another to create deliciousness. We're looking to train new line leads and prep leads, so if you're looking for a job where you can grow, this is it!

Compensation:

Pay starts at $21.50/hr + a sales share that works similarly to how we previously pooled tips (currently averages $8.5+/hr) = effective $30+/hr. Fast raises for people showing excellent performance and skill. Your growth as a team member and ability to adapt to new roles will be the primary basis for increased compensation and promotions. We always take care of our family and promote from within! When you're killing it, we make sure you get taken care of.

After 60 days, employees working an average of 33+ hours/week become eligible for company sponsored health care (medical and vision) with 75% of your premium covered by us.
